Any News On This So Called "Bug"?

Sorry that I have to make another topic for this but I don't want to triple post. Is the "Dashing Forward ---> Mouse One ---> Teleport Backwards" lag bug fixed yet? Is it going to be fixed in the patch? If not, is it going to be fixed in R2? You can probably fix it since it's not present in ESF. Truth is, that bug itself makes me not want to play because it makes it just that much harder to get a melee kill and I end up playing as Sasuke, shooting fireballs at people and randomly putting tags all over the map =/

If it's a lag issue then the fix is easy, play in servers with a lower ping.

Sorry to dissapoint you Kama, but usualy i play in a server that has 40-80 ping, and i squeeze about 70 FPS with alot of players in there. And the opponent is just wallking backwards and im dashing, no matter what i cant hit him with a melee. Maybe you guys should make the hitboxes slightly bigger.

No sniper, I've gotten 99 FPS.
Kama, just like crazywhite wrote, the lag issue is still present even if you have low ping. The only time I haven't encountered it was when I was playing alone on a server I had created.

Make sure you're not running fps_max 60 in console. Though TBH, the human eye has a hard time telling the diff between 60 and 100. So a stable FPS of 60 is best. Especially considering that most ppl run monitors at a refresh rate on 60 hz, which means the monitor cannot display more than 60 FPS anyway.

So... are you Devs going to come up with a fix anytime soon? Maybe in the patch? 'Cause this bug is the only reason I don't play NNK as much as I would like to.

This isn't a client wide issue, it's your issue, I'd recommend upgrading from dial up to a more suitable internet connection.
Also, you can't get above 60 fps because the steam version of Half Life has vsync enabled without the ability to disable it and since NNK is a Half Life mod we can't change the video settings therefore no one is able to gain a fps higher than 60.

That's a lie that 60 is max. If you change your graphics card settings to force Vsync off, then you can get higher than 60fps, and also with some monitors Vsync will go higher. Vsync is based on the monitors vertical refresh rate.
@OP
Shmew is right about the internet connection part though, I have cable and don't have that issue.

Have you guys lost your mind? I have a perfect connection. It's cable, too. I have low/medium ping. This is issue isn't coming from me! Other people also have this issue. I bet Shmew didn't read all the comments since still thinks I have bad internet. No matter what if you play with other people, it
still
happens. You guys probably tried it while playing with yourself - Oops, I mean
by
yourself. If you play LAN or with no other players, it doesn't occur. That is because you have 0 ping. If you have 20 ping it still occurs. It's irrelevant to FPS so don't argue about that.

I was playing on a non-lan server and had no problems. And any type of input does rely on FPS, because the engine can only process inputs at specific points of rendering, or you would be controlling something that you couldn't see. I played HL on a computer that only could get 10fps out of it (RLY OLD COMP) and the inputs lagged and I would move jerkily whenever I was shooting.

That was the worst "burn" i've ever read... I can't even ignore the monstrous fail that that was.
Anyways, I've never had your issue. Nor do I know anyone on the team, or testers, who have had your issue.

Well, I'm not sure about this issue but the first step to solving it is being able to consistently reproduce it so we know what to look for
Anyway, I showed Tenken this post if it helps you to know that the team is aware of your problem. Like I said, we need either a video or some way to reproduce it to start figuring it out though. Just keep in mind there are a lot of bugs he's been working on.

No.
Have you read crazywhite's post? I'll make a video in a few days about it.
