Here's a suggestion. To prevent kawarami whoring wouldn't it be better (not to mention a lot neater to pull of) if the block + backwards had like a 1 or 2 second(s) duration where you would have to be hit in that period of time and if not have a cooldown for like 5 seconds before you can try again? Haven't really thought it through so it might have some loopholes :)

i know you´re all worried that kawarimi will be spammed and its not that great and so on . but believe me its hell of fun to use it in actual gameplay and you cant really spamm it ^^

Like I said it eats a good amount of chakra.
And trust me, to survive/win in this game, chakra is needed.

One of our builds was similar to this, where you would activate it and then if someone hit u in a little time period it would automatically preform kawamiri. But it turned into a really boring and non-dynamic gamestyle because you would just use it whenever someone was attacking you. So instead of having to carefully plan which attacks to dodge and actually plan it out, it was just people kawamiring over and over again cause it was automatic.

How is that true if you make it with the same block + backwards execution? I don't see a difference in execution/gameplay if it works the same way only with a small duration so that you can't just stand somewhere and hold block + backwards

They can be attacked from the back. So lets just say that holding block and backwards without putting much thought to it would lead to your ass getting kicked. ;P

The old way was automatic. You'd exectue the jutsu by seals, wait for the attack and when hit you would kawarimi to the place where you formed the seals. Right now it's way different... it feels like you have more control.

Nice, this is good, having stuff to automated is a total ***** which does take away from actual gameplay.
sounds like you guys really are putting effort in perfecting gameplay!

Of course =O
We're always brainstorming about our system. We obviously keep testing as we progress and we try to track down the flaws. Mainly things that will affect the gameplay for the worse.

You don't put accent on models even if they are so damn cool ... perfecting the gameplay is the best way to make a great mod and that's what you're dooing. Lots of mods / addons are puting first their models and that's why they died .. or they'll die ( um-wfs )
Nice shadows... ESF is owned by NNK ! again...

Don't you dare start bashing ESF around here. Most of the NNK devs still work for ESF as well so better shut your piehole.

ESF rules.
