There's a common assumption going around that I have not tried to do anything to fix the problem.  No I did not have to pay for NNK but to play NNK I was told that I needed to have half life 1 which was not in my possession at the time.  So in a way, yes, I had to pay to play this game.  Also, the game is already out, I know they are still working on it a bit but its not like this is beta testing, its out, so the whole "upcoming" title kind of baffles me, especially since I can't play it even now.  One more thing, I do not have an old computer, the majority if not all laptops have integrated graphics cards, which, if I am not mistaken, is what they said the main problem was.  I'm not saying they are slacking on the patch either, I'm just saying I'd rather see news about the patch then some over glorified award that doesn't seem to be deserved yet.

In 2009 the mod was still upcoming and you will know that if you actually watched the video.

Let me break it down for you because you're obviously too slow to understand the awards...

Also, the game is already out, I know they are still working on it a bit but its not like this is beta testing, its out
The game is always in beta testing. That's what happens when you go from testing of a team of about 10 people to having a few thousand people testing the game, you find bugs that you didn't expect. Such as certain hardware not working well with the code. NNK development hasn't stopped, we simply reached a point that we felt was worthy of releasing to the public to play. So yes, you are playing a beta version. Welcome to the world of modding.

so the whole "upcoming" title kind of baffles me, especially since I can't play it even now.
NNK won best upcoming mod 2009 because we released in 2010. We were best upcoming in 2009. Hopefully that was clear enough.

One more thing, I do not have an old computer, the majority if not all laptops have integrated graphics cards, which, if I am not mistaken, is what they said the main problem was.
Integrated graphics cards aren't meant for gaming. If that's what your using it's unlikely the patch will fix anything for you simply because your laptop can't handle it. Integrated graphics card = not a gaming PC. Get over it, your laptop is incredibly outdated compared to most computers. You bought a granny laptop, do research next time before making a purchase.

We answer questions in the Help and Bug forum everyday about how to fix the issues that we've found fixes for, you think making an official post would change anything?

And again, we won best upcoming mod 2009. Just so you're not baffled by the complexity of years passing by.

It´s known that we have to pay for half-life. NNK it´s a mod. That means you gotta have hl to play it. Like all the other mods, you gotta have the original game. The mod itself is free (and awesome), and i play it in my laptop (ati radeon x1200). and why is it the main problem? as far as i known, the main problem is client.dll and other software related stuff (help section). My friend... be patient. I was patient enough to wait for the mod. And im certainly sure that a patch will come out very soon. Not deserved reward you say? Listen: The mod was rewarded for the hard work results. This team put an extreme effort on it. Modeling, coding, making all those textures and effects... The hl engine at the best. Please!! Stop complaining about it. Be patient. A solution will come out. If it is an hardware problem, Im sure the team will figure it out. No problem man! Calm down xD

Thats alright, I didn't really expect all the dev. groupies to attack.  Its just an opinion my friends,  one that I felt needed to be expressed, not to slander and disgrace the efforts of those in the creation of this mod but its a big problem and I'm not too ecstatic about a seemingly great game that I can't play.  To the creators, no hard feelings, great job so far, keep working hard.  To the jerk that assumes I'm some backwoods idiot that knows nothing about computers, the integrated graphics card problem IS a big problem:

> Computers with integrated graphics account for 90% of all PC shipments[6]...  However, today's integrated solutions such as AMD's Radeon HD 3200 (AMD 780G chipset) and NVIDIA's GeForce 8200 (NVIDIA nForce 730a) are more than capable of handling 2D graphics from Adobe Flash or low stress 3D graphics[8].

^ Intel G965 with GMA X3000 Integrated Graphics - Media Encoding and Game Benchmarks - CPUs, Boards & Components by ExtremeTech

-This is not a graphically high end game, aka no where near as graphically excellent as games like Crysis.  But I'm done, great job on the award I guess, I might have been a bit too forward on that point, just a little frustrated.  Just want to know you guys are still working on it, I haven't given up trying on my end.  -thanks

Might get more help with a real name.

its not as easy as it may seems to hack certain features into such an old engine. Compared to modern ones that "natively" support those things its naturally much slower.
Sorry for you but integrated craphic cards are more then likely simply too weak. Even if they're labeled geforce or radeon they have little in common with their bigger gaming counterparts. Playing HD videos and the likes is more a matter of optimizations in the chip design itself then raw power.
Its just not our target platform

Not sure where you got this statistic, i'd really like to see your source. If you're talking about Laptop shipments, that might be more reasonable. But then again my point that Laptops aren't for gaming still stands. So I don't know what point you're trying to make here.

Actually NNK is fairly high end with everything we've accomplished. Your computer may be able to run Half-life, but that doesn't mean it'll be able to run NNK. Even though it's based off of the same engine, we've made vast improvements and additions to the engine that require more power to run it. Just like any other game.

Any examples of game design you have to show off that is any better?

I don't think that has anything to do with the progress of this game? If I went to someone for a service they provided such as dry cleaning and there was a fault in the way it came out, I would tell them, even though I am not capable of dry cleaning myself.  Reciprocation of information about the result is the only way to improve.  This is not the place for a pointless on going argument though, dragging it out isn't going to change my opinion, a fix will.
